Sometimes, it feels very difficult to eat healthy, especially during breakfast time. We all have busy schedules, and the last thing we are often thinking about as we start our day is the amount of fiber, whole grain, and overall nutritional content of our favorite breakfast item. For weight loss, this is especially important since breakfast has been proven time and time again to be an important component to healthy weight loss. Luckily, Van’s Foods has a variety of tasty, healthy options to make breakfast more fun for everyone, including our family’s all time favorite – Van’s Foods Cinnamon Heaven Cereal. Recently, however, they added two new cereals to their wonderful cereal lineup – Cocoa Sensations and Blissfully Berry. When I saw the Coco Sensations, I knew this would be a fun breakfast option for my family!
Part of what makes this cereal so much fun is that it is something that kids and kids at heart will enjoy, while still having the nutritional benefits of most adult cereals. Both Cocoa Sensations and Blissfully Berry have a variety of awesome healthy features, including:
- 17 grams of nutrient dense whole grains, including ancient grains millet, quinoa, and amaranth
- 5-6 grams of fiber
- 110 calories per 2/3 cup servings
- No artificial flavors
- No High Fructose Corn Syrup
- No dairy, egg, or corn
As you can see, it also looks good too! Like all Van’s cereals, these new cereals also have the Whole Grains Stamp from The Whole Grain Council and are certified by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. Who knew that you could have such a yummy, dessert-like cereal for breakfast?
While this cereal tastes amazing, we are also excited that it is available at many awesome natural grocery stores, including Whole Foods! To see if this awesome cereal is available near you, make sure to check out the Van’s Foods store locator! We are sure that once you try this cereal you will never buy – or be asked for – unhealthy kid’s cereal again!

I haven’t seen this either. The ingredients sound great! I hope they carry them at my local grocery, I will be looking when we go for groceries.

The chocolate and cinnamon both sound good. We aren’t big cereal eaters. I’ll buy a box every few months. Depending on the price, I would like to try the cinnamon flavor.

Kroger has it on sale every once in a blue moon and that is when I stock up. 🙂

I am on a very strict diet and have to watch my carb and sugar intake. What is nice about this cereal is that when you look at the net carb. (carb minus fiber) it is only 20 grams which are almost unheard of for cereal. I think I might just have to try the blissfully berry. Thank you for posting the nutritional label otherwise I might have just passed this in the isle as I had given up on finding a healthy cereal.

I will have to check my Whole Foods to see if they have the newest flavors. It is a shame most of the stores near me do not carry more health options.

I see so many great products from Van’s online, but we don’t have a Van’s anywhere near us in KY. I’d love to try that Blissfully Berry!
trista says
wow, these actually look pretty good. Its always a struggle in the morning for my daughter to actually eat breakfast. She doesn’t like eggs and loves cereal, but some are loaded with sugar. Thanks.. I’m going to give these a try.
Claudia says
They both look and yummy. I think I would prefer the strawberry while the rest of the family the chocolate one and the best part of it, is that it’s healthy and nutritious.
Amy Green says
I have got to try these! I was so unhappy when General Mills changed the flavoring to their Count Chocula and Frankenstein Berry cereals. I haven’t been able to eat them since. I already like other foods in the Van’s line so this should be a good bet.
lisa says
I’ll have to put this on the list. My husband stops at Kroger about once a week. Thanks for the information.
