As some of you know, one of the things my Reya looks forward to every year is Honest Kitchen’s natural broths. These broths are formulated just for dogs and to not be too fatty, making them a great treat on a cold winter day. Honestly, I think she looks more forward to broth after playing outside on a cold day than eating. The only bad thing is that I usually have to stock up every year and use the broth sparingly since once the can is gone, that is it. When I heard that this year Honest Kitchen was not just coming out with a new broth, but it was going to be available year round, I have to admit, I was excited. Even more, Honest Kitchen wanted Reya to be one of the first dogs to try their newly formulated Bone Broth with Turmeric!
Bone Broth with Turmeric: What is It?
Looking for an awesome broth to keep your dogs warm and happy this winter? If so, we think you will love Honest Kitchen’s Bone Broth with Turmeric. As a treat with ‘benefits’, it is made with potent turmeric, which has been proven in studies to be high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, and overall good for pets and humans alike. This warm broth is not only nourishing for dogs, but tastes great too, making it a great between-meal snack, a way to warm up on a cold day, or a way to add extra moisture to kibble. One thing is for certain, Honest Kitchen’s Bone Broth with Turmeric will drive dogs and cats wild!
Bone Broth with Turmeric: Our Thoughts
Okay, as someone who has been a big fan of Honest Kitchen’s broths, I have to say I wasn’t disappointed with this new broth. Like the old broth, a little goes a long way. While the container may look small (only 5 oz), that can easily last months with how little you need to create a big bowl of broth for your dogs. Reya actually likes hers diluted in a big bowl of warm water, and sometimes even lets the puppy share with her (sometimes). I think Reya may actually like this broth more than some of the others we have tried in the past from Honest Kitchen, and best of all, there is nothing in it that bothers the Ivi bitty puppy’s tummy. They can even share the broth with the cats when they come in to visit Grandma. Based on our own experience, we are delighted to give Honest Kitchen’s new Bone Broth with Turmeric an A+ rating.

I may have to try this with my separation anxiety Pug. Nothing has worked so far. This would even taste good and no trouble giving it to her.

I know the benefits for people with bone broth and tumeric but never thought about it for kids. My dog would love this on his food for an extra tasty treat.

I have heard so many good things about tumeric for it’s anti-inflammatory properties & I need it more than my dog! but I can see the healthy benefits for dogs who live in the upper Northern states. It’s probably beneficial for dogs who live here in my state during the winter as we have a bone chilling winter when we get it!
