Deborah D says
I have never seen anything like this. I think this would really work.
Stephanie Phelps says
Having something that is so quick and accurate without having to wake up the kids would be awesome. I know I usually have to struggle to keep their arm down or even wonder if I have it in a good spot to get the best temperature and with this none of that would be a concern for me anymore!

Judy maharrey says
i think this is a thermomenter i would use. i am from the old school, and have felt kind of lost without my old fashioned thermomenter. this seems so non invasive, and you can use on children, even infants. it is also made in the usa , which is good, i am cautious buying anythingfrom overseas.
Robin Dogan says
I’ve had a temporal scanner before but it was a cheap one and never worked as well as I hoped. I love the idea of a temporal thermometer because I have a squirmy toddler who doesn’t get that I just need him for twenty seconds to get the proper reading.
KATHARINE COOKMAN says

I have five grandchildren around all the time and when they get sick it’s almost a challenge to take their temperature. This thermometer is just what this grandma needs for taking their temps. It sounds so easy and almost fun to take their temps….

Heather in VA says
What a great product for new parents. I never liked the old thermometers.
laurie allen says
With all the thermometers out there and all the different kinds… it gets confusing!! Thank you for such a great review it answered all my questions about what is the best one for my family’s needs. With all the inferior products coming from other countries and finding out later how potentially harmful they could be, it is important to us to have a brand that is made in America as well. This is easy to use and I feel I can trust it. Thank you!!!
Christine A says
I love how convenient this thermometer is. I’ve seen these used in hospitals and I was curious how they worked.

I love how it is compact to be put in our first aid kit on our family outings. Also, I like the glow light for in the middle of the night temperature takings which will make those nights easier to see and read!
Lesley F says
I like how accurate it sounds. I also see why nurses use them!
Emily Endrizzi says
I have never used a temporal thermometer before, but I am looking for a high-quality thermometer that is accurate. I have trouble with the tympanic thermometers not being accurate. I will get wildly different readings only seconds apart. The oral ones are accurate, but more difficult to use on young children especially when they aren’t feeling well. I would love to try this thermometer. It looks awesome.
Michele Ash says
Thanks for the Fantastic Review on Exergen Smart Glow TemporalScanner Thermometer! OMG With My husband having 2 major surgeries within 5 months, I’ve spent an awful lot of time at the hospital. I noticed that they were using a different type of thermometer on him than I’ve ever seen before! I Loved It! I asked the nurse if she could steal one for me! Of course, she just laughed! I have been wanting one of these since the day I first saw it! Unfortunately I cannot afford to purchase one, due to hubby’s surgeries and not working his part-time job in forever (it seems like forever!) This past time, he’s been out of work since before Christmas! We are both disabled and on a fixed income, so his part-time job money helps with groceries and other things we need/want! With no work comes no money! When I saw this giveaway, I was so excited! I want this thermometer so very bad! I know my kids would love having their temperature taken this way! Thanks so much for the review and all the information on this thermometer which you shared with all of us! I honestly do appreciate it! Thanks again, Michele 🙂
Jo-Ann Brightman says

I’ve always thought these types of thermometers made great sense. And much less chance of spreading germs because they dont go in the mout!
terry myers says
Easy to use thats a plus especially with kids more accurant important with babies its glows in the dark easy read i have a greatgrandbaby 4
Tina W says
I like the large display on this thermometer. It is always such a struggle keeping the thermometer in place and then trying to read a tiny, poorly lit display hampers the situation even further.
Karen Dries says
I would love someting like this. It is so hard to get an accurate reading when someone is ill and to not have to wake someone up or put the thermometer in their mouth is great. Plus you aren’t spreading ant germs.
Terri S. says
When my grandkids get sick it is a hassle to take their temperature. It seems that fevers always pick the wee hours of the night and the child is grumpy (understandably), barely awake and not receptive to the regular thermometer. I love how easy this one works by scanning the temporal artery. The Smart Glow feature is a bonus so I don’t need to turn the bedroom light on and wake them up. I can take the temperate fast, in the dark and have a more accurate reading.
Jen H says
this is awesome! with 2 kids who HATE getting their temp taken i love the ease and speed of this!
amy guillaume linderman says

Lori says
Would love this for our boys. I agree, it is not fun seeing our children sick especially when they are too young to tell us what’s wrong.
Katie Ellis says
This looks like an awesome thermometer. I love that it scans your forehead to determine temperature and not having to put it under your tongue. That is great so you can takes someones temperature when they’re sick without disturbing them.
Jan Lee says
I too have seen these used in the hospitals. However, now they have one where it doesn’t even have to touch you and can still give your temperature. I have no idea how that works but they just hold it in front of your forehead and it’s done. I had even asked the nurse if she was sure she didn’t need to touch my forehead with it, and she said no. I had it done twice to me, on two different days so I know I wasn’t imagining it, lol Since that isn’t yet available, I do believe the Exogen is a good choice, especially for kids and babies 🙂
shana says
They have been using this type of thermometer at the doctors office I go to, plus the nurse coming to my home uses this type also. ( In home care because of back surgery). It’s so much nicer than sticking it in your mouth!
Sue M. says
I really do need a new thermometer, I have some cheap one that I got at the local drug store, this looks like it would be a really nice one!
Theresa Hover says
This definitely seems like a baby registry must-have; I’m adding it to mine tonight. I didn’t realize this is what hospitals use, and I’m glad there is a non-invasive option that is still accurate. If only it would work on my patients (dogs & cats), too bad the fur would get in the way.
Tamara Terni says
My daughter has this one and I love it. It’s accurate and fast and easy. And there is no fighting when I need to take a temp. And that’s the biggest plus of all.
Brandi B. says
This thermometer looks awesome! I dislike the ear one that we have because I never know if its positioned just right to give me an accurate temp. This new forehead thermometer would be perfect for my five kids when they are sick! Very cool!
Penni says
I think I’m going to invest in one of these! I’m not at all happy with the digital thermometers I’ve used for the past few years; they don’t seem accurate and break so easily. Good to know that this is the kind most nurses and pediatricians prefer!
Kelly says
This looks like a great product. I have an old oral thermometer, and I always laugh that I have to hold it in my mouth and breath through my nose, but I am sick so I can’t breath through my nose. So I am not sure how accurate it is, but I don’t have a lot of faith.
Jennifer Heintz says
This Exergen smart glow thermal scanner thermometer seems so much better that the stick type I have. It is more sanitary, and easier to get an accurate reading.
Rachael Petty says
This is an amazing giveaway! I never really trust the thermometer I have and my daughter gets sick frequently from allergies. This would be so nice to own.Thank you!
Marnie G (Derrick Todd) says
These are great. I wish they were around when my kids were little. This would make a great baby shower gift.
Christina Klei says
This thermometer has an amazing concept. I would love to have this so as to not need to wake up my sick little one just to check their temperature. In addition my little ones would be so thankful not to have the thermometer in their mouth, especially since they usually are sick with bronchial issues.
Jennifer Borden says
Would a baby actually sit still to have their temperature taken on their forehead? Although, if baby isn’t sitting still for this then the other thermometers will be just as hard to use I guess.
Jerrica Evans says
I need to get one of these. I have a two year old that refuses to sit still long enough for me to get an accurate temperature. She acts like it will hurt her to stay still for 20-30 seconds, but my other two were like that as well so it’s nothing new to me.
Linda Manns Linneman says
I love how easy this is to use and it doesn’t disturb your child while they are sleeping. Thank you so much for sharing
ERICA WEAVER says
i am gonna need this with new baby due in june i always like new gadgets like this to help ease baby when not feeling good

Linda Bradshaw says
This would be perfect for my grandkids. I will give to their mom so she can use it. I know she would enjoy having it.
Michael Lambert says
We were thinking of getting this for my daughter. She is sick a lot and the only accurate way to check her temp is rectal. I would like to find something that is easier.
Rebecca Parsons says
I like the glow on the temperature reading for when you have to take the kids temperature in the dark. I love that it gives a accurate reading.
Terri S. says
Trying to take the temperature of a sick baby is so difficult. This temporal scanner method looks so much easier. There are so many advantages to using this thermometer by Exergen: you can take temp without waking baby/child/adult, accurate temp readings and faster to name just a few. I love the the smart glow feature that enables you to leave lights off so you do not have to disturb their sleep. This would be a great gift for anyone especially a baby shower gift. 🙂
Dorothy Boucher says
My grandchildren Dr have something like this, that he just scans around the head sort of , what a neat tool to have,,
Sandy Cain says
Looks like a PERFECT thermometer! The sick one can stay in bed, without having to have the thermometer shoved under their tongue (or in the case of a baby, a worse place!). I know nurses use this in hospitals, and that’s a great plus – they know what’s best!
Natalie Nichols says
This looks like a really convenient way to take your child’s temperature. I would love to have one of these.
Tamra Phelps says
We have always used old-fashioned thermometers, but they are getting more difficult to read for my eyes, lol. I think it is time to give in to modern technology!
Bobbie Smith says
I really like the large display. I have a hard time reading the old fashion temperature gadgets. This would definitely be so handy, and helpful!
Elaine Powell says
my Mom was recently in the hospital. They used this type thermometer on her. It is the neatest gadget I’ve seen in a while. I would like to have one for use with our grandsons.
DIStherapy says
I have my eye on a temporal scanner for quite some time. Kids aren’t the only ones who need thermometers; after the flu season we’ve just endured, any family, of any age, needs one!
Vickie says
These are the best. My gf had this and loves it and I covet hers!
So much better than my cheapy.
Easy Peasy and so effective too.
Thanks.

This is a great invention. No mercury thermometers or silly little strips that I tried.
Jennifer Shelton says
This is a great thing to have when you have a little one! I can’t even tell you how many times the little cheap thermometer have broken on me 🙁
Victokirsh says
Out here on the frontier we need a fully stocked medical kit. This would take some of the guesswork out of treating the sick.
Richard Hicks says
I love that it is non invasive. Would make taking temperatures much easier and less stressful for the kids
crystal says
I think this is an awesome product and I really hope I get to try it. I love how its automatic response no waiting.
Julie Waldron says
I like that you can use it in the dark. I wish that something like this would have been around when my girls were little.
Krystal Dunlap says
I love the fact you do not have to wake the child to take the temp. I have twin girls who do not like to be still so one of these would really be put to good use.
Lily Kwan says
This thermometer looks very nice. Thanks for sharing!
Tonya F says
I’m probably a little too excited to try this thermometer. I have four young boys and it’s impossible to find a good one, I think this is going to be it!
lisa says
I like this idea. You don’t have to look for probe covers. You aren’t spreading germs and it’s much quicker than the oral thermometer. It is a bit pricey. Maybe after the newness wears off, the price will drop a bit.
