Ciao Bella Review: Making Dessert Fun Again

For me, nothing is better than sitting down on a pretty, warm day with a nice frozen dessert. While I have ice cream and similar treats throughout the year, there is something about Spring and Summer that makes me especially crave these yummy desserts – maybe it is because we are already in the 60’s here, and the ice cream truck music is already echoing through our neighborhood. While kids everywhere are enjoying these novelty treats, I love more ‘grown up’, gourmet ice creams with flavor that makes dessert worth the calories. Luckily, we recently found the perfect taste experience – Ciao Bella!

Ciao Bella: What is It?

When it comes to artisan gelato and sorbetto, no one does it better than Ciao Bella. They believe that dessert should not just be natural, but as pleasurable as humanly possible. Every one of their rich gelatos are designed to be decadent and creamy, and their sorbettos velvety smooth with intense fruit flavor. They want dessert to be the one meal everyone looks forward to! Ciao Bella Gelato: Bourbon Caramel Chocolate Gelato

Want a rich adult treat that every adult will love? If so, we think you will love Ciao Bella Bourbon Caramel Chocolate Gelato. This rich dessert is an updated version of the classic french caramel, giving it a rich and luxerious flavor with the mix of smoky bourbon, rich sweet caramel and dark chocolate. Perfect for just about any event or for ending the day on a nice note.

While I love this gelato, I will freely admit a little goes a long way since it is very rich. It is not one of those desserts where you fill a bowl with ice cream and expect to eat it quickly. No, it is one of those desserts that you enjoy slowly so you can take in all the wonderful flavors. This gelato made me think of this Italian dessert in a whole way and made me fall in love with gelato. Based on my own experience, I am happy to give Ciao Bella Bourbon Caramel Chocolate Gelato an A+ rating.

Ciao Bell Sorbetto: White Peach Sangria

What adult doesn’t like a good sorbetto at the end of a nice meal? To make your day even better, consider trying Ciao Bella’s Sorbetto White Peach Sangria. This sweet dessert has a delightful sweetness that is complimented by a Ciao Bella’s Chablis white wine. To bring the flavors together, they even add a bit of Sicilian orange and lime juice, creating the perfect summer treat for everyone in your family.

In our household, we are big fans of this Sorbetto. It has a sweet, wonderful peach flavor that is perfect after a nice Italian meal or as a nice treat to cool you off after playing outside. It really does remind of a nice sangria wine that is safe for everyone in your family to enjoy. Based on our own experience, we are happy to give Ciao Bella’s Sorbetto White Peach Sangria an A+ rating!

Ciao Bella: Key Lime Graham Gelato Squares

Looking for a truly yummy ice cream-like sandwich that is out of this world? If so, we think you will love Ciao Bella Key Lime Graham Gelato Squares. These sandwiches are based on a traditional American Dessert – a Key Lime pie. Inside each of these desserts is a decadent creamy gelato, made with real key lime juice. This tart, yet sweet filling is then packaged with two honey graham wafers to create the perfect handheld dessert!

Out of all the Ciao Bella desserts we have tried, these have to be my family’s absolute favorite. These bars are the perfect mixture of sweet and tartness and taste just like a good Key Lime pie. I almost didn’t have enough left for samples since the box was finished in almost a single day with how much they were loved. For anyone that loves Key Lime pie or similar desserts, this gelato treat is an absolute must! Based on our own experience, we are happy to give Ciao Bella Key Lime Graham Gelato Squares an A+ rating!
