Are you trying to find the perfect, easy-to-make Halloween cupcakes? Everyone is in the holiday spirit, researching Halloween costumes and planning fun spooky parties. With so many busy schedules and activities, parents are already sending out Halloween party invitations in July. This seems crazy to me, thinking of how things were more impromptu growing up, but that is just our world today.
One of my even asked if we could find cute Halloween cupcakes they could make for their Nightmare Before Christmas Party that weren’t scary for younger guests. Of course, we were excited about the challenge. Their daughter wanted ‘confetti’ cupcakes, which I don’t usually consider when making holiday ones.
My big concern is that we hoped to keep the cupcakes fairly natural and free of artificial dyes. Mom was at first a no-go with confetti Halloween cupcakes, but we were able to come up with a solution. Today, many places make sprinkles free of artificial dyes, allowing us the creativity to make the cutest, spooky cupcakes!
So, what is so unique about these spooky cupcakes? The fact that they are cute little ghosts, of course! Using candied eyes, the cupcakes look up at kids, making these boo-cakes the cutest Halloween cupcakes out there! The best part is that they taste as amazing as they look. They are delightfully fluffy vanilla cupcakes with whipped cream cheese icing. Everyone who has tried them has found them to be boo-licious! They also include ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen, making them very fast and easy to make, even with little helpers.

- Add the butter, sugar, and egg to a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients, milk, and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl and mix until all ingredients are fully combined and the batter is smooth.
- Add the sprinkles to the batter and mix gently to combine.
