Is there anything more amazing than getting home-grown vegetables or fruit from your own kitchen garden? For years, I have enjoyed having fresh vegetables from my garden and various fruits we have cultivated throughout our yard. While living in a subdivision, we have gotten creative on how and where to put some of our edible garden. We also love sharing and grading some of our bounty with our neighbors. One of the tricky things about having a garden that no one talks about is how to make it look visually appealing and manage the garden with a busy schedule. This is one of the reasons I was excited when I got a new book that sounded perfect for a gardener like me – Kitchen Garden Living: Seasonal Growing and Eating from a Beautiful, Bountiful Food Garden. Our Thoughts

For those who are just getting into having their edible garden, I have to say that Kitchen Garden Living makes the entire process approachable to anyone. Rather than take the typical reference material approach to gardening books, the author chose to take a very talkative, personal approach to creating a kitchen garden. I completely agree with her that having a garden isn’t just about growing food, but is a lifestyle, by taking control of your food and designing and caring for your home garden. All the information is approachable to just about anyone, filled with fantastic information, gorgeous pictures, and relatable stories that any busy family can understand when caring for plants. I also love that there are areas of the book for different stages of gardening – from having your miniature garden to gorgeous, cultivated pathways. Overall, I consider this book a must for gardeners of all levels.
