Are you someone who is a huge dragon fan? In our household, we read a lot of fantasy and science fiction. For years, we have decorated our house with dragons, mythos-inspired artworks, and other things that remind us of some of our favorite books. My husband has always been a giant fan of dragons, buying shirts and other fun things related to his favorite mythical creature. I am no different and go out of my way to find anything featuring my favorite fantasy creature. With his birthday right around the corner, I have been trying to come up with fun ideas.
While researching cookbooks, I was asked to review a complimentary copy of a new book that seemed perfect for our family – Dragon Food: 70 Legendary, Magical, and Fantasy-Inspired Recipes by Cayla Gallagher. Once our book copy of this cookbook arrived, I couldn’t wait to share it with you guys!

Our Thoughts
So far, I have to say that this cookbook is adorable. It is the right mix of edible fantasy-inspired recipes and works of art. While some recipes may be challenging, they teach you the techniques to make genuinely inspiring, artistic desserts. What I love the most about this cookbook is that it isn’t just bragging about recipes that can only be made by art-inspired chefs. Some of the recipes in the book truly are things beginners can make with effort, such as edible rice crispy treats with the Double-Headed Crispy Rice Dragon. The same is true with the Dragon Footprint Pie, allowing bakers of every experience level to make fantasy-inspired recipes that make anyone who loves dragons.
For those who are also visually inclined to learn, the writer also thought of this with some of her step-by-step instructions. Some more complicated recipes go through not just written directions but pictures as well. This is fantastic for areas that make a bit more sense with pictures. With the gorgeous pictures and fantastic directions, I consider Dragon Food: 70 Legendary, Magical, and Fantasy-Inspired Recipes a must for anyone who loves dragons.
