Are you looking for a delicious Buckeye Balls Candy Recipe? While I am not a huge sports fan, it doesn’t mean I don’t like spending time with friends. While everyone else focuses on whatever sports they are watching, I usually make some yummy snacks in the kitchen. I honestly could tell you almost nothing about sports, only knowing the absolute basics of just about anything. To make up for it, I usually ensure everyone has tasty treats while watching the game, such as Buckeye cupcakes or even these super yummy Buckeye balls candies.
What I love so much about these peanut butter treats is that they are easy to prepare and ready for guests in only a few hours. Prep time is even better since it is just mixing a handful of ingredients and putting them in the fridge or freezing for hours. Even though these buckeye balls are easy to make, they are packed with flavor. Guests love mentioning these salty and sweet treats as they talk or argue with the TV during specific calls.
The trick to these candies turning out perfect is having proper freezer space and (most importantly) high-quality ingredients. It may be tempting to buy cheap chocolate or whatever peanut butter is cheaper, but it will affect the overall taste of the buckeye balls. If you want more flavor, make sure you have rich, creamy peanut butter and quality chocolate that you would be delighted to eat right out of the bag.
Are you ready to try this recipe for yourself? We are confident that once you start making this Buckeye Balls Candy, you won’t even consider buying them from a bakery again! Just make sure you give yourself plenty of prep time since you will likely accidentally eat your first batch of these yummy candies!

1 cup Natural Peanut Butter
1/2 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
1 cup Powdered Sugar
Chocolate Coating Ingredients:
2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (high quality)
2 TBSP Shortening

- Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Roll into 1-inch bowls and place on the cookie sheet.
- Place the entire cookie sheet in the freezer. Allow the dough to freeze for 20 to 30 minutes.

- Remove the chilled dough bowls from the freezer. Place a toothpick on each ball.
