Do you make treats for your dogs? As some of you know, I love to bake and cook various things for my family and our dogs. It is the best way to guarantee that they get the best ingredients and everything they need from their food. The problem has always been finding cost-effective treats, especially with meat getting so expensive during the pandemic. For this reason, I have been looking for more recipes that use fruit and vegetables. Since pumpkin is in season, I have mainly looked for pumpkin leather for dog recipes.
What is so unique about pumpkin leather? To my surprise, the girls have loved various dehydrated fruits and vegetables. My problem has always been finding ones that both girls will eat since Ivi acts like she is truly allergic to all vegetables (she isn’t). While Rylie loves almost all fruits and vegetables raw or cooked, Ivi is very much a snob that would prefer all meat all the time. Luckily, I have found that she loves pumpkin and loves pumpkin flavored…anything.
One of the things that makes this pumpkin leather for dog recipe so amazing is the fact that is Bonly three ingredients – canned pumpkin, molasses, and beef liver sprinkles. The sprinkles are very cheap on Amazon and come in various flavors, making them an excellent option for picky dogs like Ivi. The hardest part is the wait since they take seven hours to dehydrate completely.

Note: While I have a dehydrating function on my air fryer, I know this isn’t a good option for everyone. Even though I have not tried it myself, I have heard this is a fantastic alternative for those on a budget.
