Have you ever been confused by credit scores, student loans, and figuring out how debt works? Even though I worked at a bank and came from a banking family, debt wasn’t something my family talked about, especially since we lived paycheck to paycheck growing up. I didn’t think much about it until I was out of college when student loans started coming in, and I realized I was barely saving anything, which was quickly becoming an issue. While I didn’t have a bad credit score, most of my income went to paying off my credit card debt, which became an issue when student loans started coming out of remission. Even though we got things under control, I wish I had learned many of the lessons much sooner. Honestly, I know I still have quite a bit learn, being one of the reasons I got an advanced copy of Debt 101: From Interest Rates and Credit Scores to Student Loans and Debt Payoff Strategies, an Essential Primer on Managing Debt. Once this book arrived, I couldn’t wait to get started!
