Want to know what we think after trying NomNomNow for the past month? Honestly, I have to say it has been a wonderful experience for us and the girls. To talk about our full experience for anyone who hasn’t been following along – lets first start with the delivery process. NomNomNow is fantastic with their communication, giving you instructions on what to expect and prepare for the delivery before it even arrives. They even sent me reminder emails of the day it was arriving, to let me know how long it could last on the porch in case I wasn’t home.
Once it did arrive, everything was nicely packed, chilled but not quite frozen, and ready for sorting and storing. Also, do know that if you live in the 9 western states, it will be a bit different for you, since they send meals out weekly for pups who live in those states. What is probably the most delightful thing to us about NomNomNow, however, is the excitement. As you guys saw from my previous NomNomNow post, Ivi is a bit of a picky eater. She loves just about any food for the first week or so, but gets tired of kibble quickly. Unless we try mixing in cheese or toppers, by the time she reaches the end of any dry food bag, she will try avoiding her food – or trick the puppy into eating her food in hopes of something better. During the whole month we tried NomNomNow, mealtime has been pure excitement and joy from both of our girls. So, what benefits have we seen from feeding a fresh dog food diet to our malamutes? Probably the biggest one is more energy than they know what to do with on a daily basis. As dogs that are known to be a working breed, we are used to having lots of energy. While we thought they were energetic before, with NomNomNow they are always bouncy and happy. There were far fewer naptimes and much more play, with them constantly bouncing, running, and roughhousing more with their toys and each other. While we were outside less for them to do ‘business’ we were making more playtime trips to run the energy out, which was something amazing to us since they seemed to be eating less. Overall, I am extremely happy with NomNomNow and can easily say it has changed how I look at dog food. Beautiful dog! I have been partially cooking for my dogs, along with kibble, but would like to transition them off kibble all together.
I have often wondered how our own dog would have done on a “fresh diet”. While we did feed her “regular dog food” (Blue), she enjoyed raw apples and carrots as frequent treats.

I don’t h ave dogs, I have cats. But I’ve been trying to feed them better alternatives besides the dried out processed cardboard looking stuff they call cat food. This is wonderful. Maybe they will expand to cat food soon.

Ive been hearing SO much about the raw food diet for pups and Im so glad to hear that your’s like it so!! I mean in theory wild dogs didn’t have kibble so this is what they SHOULD be consuming. Plus you don’t have to worry about China additives!! Is it expensive?
