I have three rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds. All three had questionable starts on life, including likely not getting very healthy food. My girl, Kyoko, was nearly starved before being dumped at the high-kill shelter I adopted her from. She’s at a healthy weight now (actually a little chubby) and so far we haven’t seen any negative results from her near-starvation. However, her joints are definitely going to be an issue. She’s been with me for six years and was a minimum of 2 years old when I adopted her. I’d love to try this product for her – and for my two boys, too.

I have a senior rescue dog (Monty) who is 15 years old – or more, we don’t know – he’s doing really well. I have to make absolutely sure taht he gets glucosamine into himself every single day though or he feels creaky – you can tell. Sometimes, it’s a challenge. these treats would be so great for him.
My dog could really use these! She jumps a lot and I think these would benefit her joints.

You’re right – most people probably don’t think about hip & joint problems when they have young dogs. Even though they should. Many dogs have problems as puppies/young adults with hips & joints, as they’re growing so fast. I’m impressed that you’re impressed. More importantly that your pups actually like the supplement. That’s probably the best thing of all, honestly. Will definitely check these out. Gavan is almost 8 years old – eek! I hate even saying those words. Sounds like these would be a great way to introduce the supplement for a sensitive stomach pup. I looked up the ingredients on the site – there’s no hidden carbs/sugars in the product – so I would be comfortable trying this with Gracie (diabetic now).

It is so weird that I read this and am commenting, because I was just talking to my daughter about her dogs and this very issue!! One of her dogs is taking a slower time going up and down her porch when going in and out of the house to go to the bathroom. Odin is getting up there in age, he is 14 now, and slowing down a bit. So far, knock on wood no stiffness, but like anyone else he will eventually have his aches and pains. I started giving him supplements last year, I have to take a look at this brand.
