Do you love to watch television? How about play video games? If so, you probably view your TV as the key centerpiece of your entertainment center. While we don't watch a great deal of TV, we do play on video games and watch Netflix on our TV – making it important to us that we have a high-quality TV. As someone who tries living an earth friendly lifestyle, I try saving energy in my home. One of the ways I do this is buying electronics that are Energy Star certified.  While the LG 42" Smart HDTV wasn't the TV we eventually chose (we ended up going with a 3D TV that was super cheap on Amazon) it was one that we seriously considered since it had amazing energy savings on top of a great picture. For example, the LG 42" Smart HDTV only uses 81 kWh a year. In dollar value, this means that it only costs you $9 a year to power! Compared to most other television in the 40" – 44" category, this is amazing!

  8. That’s an awesome giveaway! I’d have to say The Walking Dead. This 42 incher looks like it would look great in my den. One of my coworkers at DISH, who knows a ton more about TVs than I do, has been telling me LGs are some of the best TVs around too. And I want the best now that I’m getting one of DISH’s Hopper whole-home DVRs, and it’ll send all my HD channels to every room, I’m anxious to upgrade the last 2 SD sets we have. Ever since we upgraded the first half of our rooms to high-definition, the family always seems to end up fighting over the TVs in those two rooms. Once I have new televisions and the Hopper in my house, that won’t be an issue anymore.

  12. Depends on what day I get it. Sunday might be Revenge- Monday its up in the air- Tues NCIS- Wed Its up in the air- Thursday Greys – friday Up in the air- sat Up in the air.

  13. This would be a great holiday  combined birthday present for my daughter whose tv broke two years ago. So, we would watch whatever show she likes.
