How many of you love Halloween? In our household, it is a pretty big deal. My husband and I both like seeing all the children as they go out trick or treating, guessing at kids’ costumes before they even get to the door. Not only is it wonderful seeing the excitement of all the little children in the neighborhood, but our dogs as well. Reya LOVES Halloween and it may be her all-time favorite holiday. She loves that so many nice children come to ‘visit’ and play with her right outside her door! Since most of the neighborhood kids love her, they are just excited to see her. This year, however, Ivi will be joining the Halloween fun.
The only downside is that Ivi doesn’t have a costume and we are kinda tired of Reya’s maid costume. Unfortunately, PetSmart has never been a great costume source for our girls, since they normally don’t carry costumes large enough for a malamute. This year, I am determined to have adorable costumes for both of our girls, and have been searching far and wide for the perfect costumes. Luckily, some of my favorite bloggers (and Pinterest) have shared some fantastic costume ideas. These are all great costumes! I love looking at dog costumes (currently no dog in our household…)! The cupcake one is very clever, and #7, the teddy bear, looks like an ewok to me!

Hi, how are you today? Doing well I hope! I just have to tell you how Adorable these Dog Costumes are, you should definitely do one for cats too! My dog Lexie is 95lbs and nothing is ever big enough for her, but since she is almost 15 years old I wouldn’t put her through that anyways! I do think the funniest part is actually making the costume instead of buying one, but that goes for costumes for people or pets! Lol! I bookmarked this site, my wife is always looking for creative ideas for Halloween costumes for the dogs. Our dog has even won some of the contests she entered with him.
I also enjoy seeing others in costumes especially babies and dogs. Lucas has worn a superman shirt on Halloween for the past 2 years. Unfortunately kids don’t go trick or treating in my neighborhood but the few people that did see Lucas in his shirt commented and even beeped their horn.
Of course I am partial to all the pus in the costumes. My favorite has to be the one in the piñata costume.

I love these– better than the little kids ones—we always dress our 3 dogs –not always for Halloween, B-days, Christmas, Fourth of July. And Because its always some family fun our dogs seem to enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for sharing

I have just been putting a Orange or Black Collar on them but I would like to try something Creative this year! My parents used to have big Halloween parties and one year my Mom was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, My Dad was the Tin Man, & We had a Little 3lb Yorkie Named Zack and He was Toto! She even had him in a Little Picnic Style Basket and it was So Adorable Really! I have Always Loved the Fall and Fall Holidays Too! Even though my boxer boy super hates any type of costume, I think these are too cute! I wish he wasn’t such a fuss but he is. I put something cute on his head just long enough to take a picture and he pouts. lol He does love that so many people come to visit the door on Halloween though. It’s a busy night for him for sure. 🙂

These costumes for dogs are so very cute. I don’t think my dog would let me put glasses on him though as I have tried before and he flung them off. My dog is a Shih Tzu and I love to have him do special things like dress up for Halloween lol! My dog is like a human to me!

I think the dog would put up with a costume better than the cat for sure. I dont think he will be dressing up though since we just hand out candy and he tends to bark a bit much so wouldnt be a good assistant .

These pictures are so great! I especially love the one of the dog dressed as the bear. It is reminiscent of the George Hamilton comedy film, “Zorro the Gay Blade”. In it, actor George Hamilton plays Zorro, who attends a masked ball with his butler. The butler is wearing a bear costume, but everyone keeps guessing the wrong animal! It’s hilarious! The photo collection as a whole give me fond memories of photographer Lara Jo Regan, and her dog, Mr. Winkle. He was the cutest dog in the universe, and wore all kinds of cute little costumes in books and calendars. I was lucky enough to get a couple!
