As some of you know, my husband and I both love technology. For awhile, we have been looking at getting a 4K TV and have been looking at the various options available. With how expensive these TVs are, it isn’t just something I feel comfortable ordering online and hoping it will work out. No, we need to go to an actual store, look at it, and play with it to make sure it is something that we consider not only worth the money, but a good addition to our entertainment system. Luckily, Best Buy just opened their new Samsung UHD section, where you can go into your local Best Buy and interact with this super cool technology.
So, what makes Samsungs new SUHD line so cool? Well, we are glad you asked. These TVs have:

So, what did we think of the SUHD 4k TVs? In all honesty, they were truly amazing! While it’s easy for tech geeks like me to be amazed by the specs, it’s a completely different matter to see it without your own eyes. My husband and I were both amazed at the depth and life-like imagery on these TVs. Many of the scenes were breathtaking on these TVs – the perfect color and detail were truly unlike anything we had seen on modern TVs. To put it in perspective, think of the SUHD TVs more like having your own mini IMAX theater in your home without spending a small fortune. As you can see from some of my pictures, the viewing quality was amazing even when looking at the picture from almost perfectly beside the TV (something that is usually distorted with modern day flat screen TVs). To say the least, we are truly impressed and can’t wait to get one of these TVs, especially with Netflix preparing to release 4K quality content!

I have heard about these 4k SUHD TV’s…but have never actually seen one! I am a tv-a-holic, and love technology!!! If I had the money, this would be FIRST on my list of things to buy!!! I don’t even have a tablet yet…so, I’m a little behind in technology. But, that doesn’t mean that I don’t want a lot of things that are out there!!!

I own a Samsung brand smart TV right now and i love it. I love accessing apps from it, like my Youtube for videos. And movies on it are incredible. Samsung is a great brand to consider when buying a TV. Anyone of these it a winner to me!

These have amazing picture quality. I was browsing the other day at the store and I am definitely wanting an upgrade now.

I still remember when 720p high definition was the best speed/pixels for TVs around & we were in the market for a TV. I thought we were so lucky to have the latest and greatest!! My husband is a HUGE sports TV watcher. If I tell him about this, we will be visiting Best Buy this weekend! The last time we bought a TV, it was 65″ & 1080i/p. He was going to buy a plasma TV, but the guy at Best Buy told him that they were on their way out, because of how hot they got. This time, I am amazed at the great picture quality!! The flower, trees, etc. looks so real & the waterfall looks like it’s flowing out of the TV !! I am in Best Buy’s reward program so I usually buy my techy stuff from there. They have great warranties also!! Thanks for the info!!

I’m guessing that a curved screen reduces glare? That makes sense to me.

They keep making televisions better all the time. I can’t believe how far we’ve come. I still have an old black and white portable set that uses batteries when we have a power outage.
I have to ask: Is the average person really going to notice/appreciate the difference unless the old and new TV’s are next to each other?
Christine, very much so. 4K TVs are much richer in color and depth compared to a 1080p flat screen TV. Really, think of it more like having an IMAX screen in your living room. 🙂
It’s hard to really appreciate the television through a photograph. The photos are good, You just really have to see it in person.
I need kitchen appliances. I think Best Buy sells them. Then I can check this set out too.

Technology has really changed and improved over the years. It’s impossible to keep up.

With Fry’s around it has been a long time since I have been to Best Buy. I didn’t know they had an ultra high def section, so I am going to have to check it out.
