Even though we don't have them as much as I would like in my family, I love movie night. We love watching the latest movie on Netflix, purchasing a new DVD, or taking a night out to the movies. Lately, we have been watching more movies in our household since my husband purchased our new 3D TV earlier this year and I can tell you, it's a completely new experience when we are watching Bluray movies! One of the things I would really like to pick up to add to our movie collection is the new Harry Potter Complete Series on Blu-ray set.
While I have only read the first book in the series, I have loved the Harry Potter movies. Everyone in my family are major Sci-Fi and Fantasy buffs, so we try to read and watch anything we can get our hands on. It is my goal to eventually read all the Harry Potter books, but I am just so behind in my reading! Luckily, I can still enjoy watching these movies with my family! If you have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies, you are in for a treat! The movies in the Harry Potter Complete Series on Blu-ray set are clean, wholesome movies that inspire children to use their imagination and dream of their own magical adventures at Hogwarts (a wizard's school).
If you are planning on buying the Harry Potter Complete Series on Blu-ray set for your child for Christmas, I highly recommend getting them on Blu-ray. It's a cleaner, crisper picture and gives you more of the movie experience at home. This is especially true if you have a good TV and sound system since it can easily give you the whole movie experience without the high cost! Since Blu-rays have been out for years, they have been steadily coming down in price, making them not that much more expensive than a typical DVD.
So, what movies do you get in the Harry Potter Complete Series on Blu-ray set? This set includes eight Blu-ray discs for the following Harry Potter movies:
- Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone
- Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secret
- Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
- Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
- Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
- Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince
- Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I
- Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2
From what my younger siblings have told me, all the movies in the Harry Potter Complete Series on Blu-ray set follow the story in the books fairly well. Like most movie adaptations, however, they have taken some liberties, making it worth children still picking up the original books and reading them. For this reason, I would highly recommend picking up the book set for your kids as well. Most kids love reading a book and then seeing movie.
