Like many dog parents, I go out of my way to make sure that Reya has the best natural food out there. Nutrition is very important to me since I want to make sure my malamute lives as long as possible, and that most vet visits are nothing more than a checkup. Like most malamutes, she is very active. If she had her way, we would be romping through forests, exploring our creek, pouncing on snow, and having grand adventures where she runs free daily. As an owner of a very active large dog, I have had a hard time finding a nutritious food that meets her dietary needs and doesn’t rely on some kind of fillers. I’m excited that in the coming months, Reya is going to be trying Wild Calling! and we will see if this is the right food for our active malamute. Their focus on putting pets first and creating a story rather than a sales strategy seems perfect to me and my family. As long as I can keep waking up to that beautiful, healthy smile, I know I’m doing the right thing for Reya.

  21. I don’t have a dog. When I was a kid we always had a dog. They can be quite a bit of work. You need to have space and time for them.

  37. This seems like a great, quality dog food! They`re hard to find and I love that they don`t contain grain products!

  38. Wow this Dog Food seems perfect, I just switched my Dog to an Online Dog Food Delivery Program, but She gets bored pretty quickly with Her Food, and this one switches out, and She is allergic to Chicken so this sounds perfect!

  39. I was recently looking into giving my dogs a probiotic separate from their food. I did not know there were available products that included probiotics. I will look into this brand for sure.

  40. This sounds like the diet we should all be eating, not just our pets…quality protein, vegetables, vitamins and minerals with low glycemic values. I certainly think it would keep a dog healthy.

    • They make cat food as well that suppose to be just as good. I personally don’t now much about it since I’m a dog owner but will pass along any info I can find. 🙂

  78. I think people forget to look at the ingredient list of their pets food, as they would their own food. Yes, quality dog food is more expensive, but families need to consider this when welcoming a new four legged friend into the family. Love the pictures!

    • Thank you, Denise! I also found that if you sit down and do the math, it is less money going natural. The higher calorie content per serving also means they eat less. Like what I explained to one of my friends, which will fill you up faster, a packet of ramen or a steak with veggies. One is cheaper but nutrition wise there is no contest!

  80. Oh, that’s a malamute.I keep telling my husband that I want one of these dogs. I know it’s out of the question. We do have a fenced in yard but it’s not really large enough for an animal of that size.

We had a Siberian husky named Keisha! She was such a good girl! We sure miss her! I now have 2 of the pickiest little Shih Tzu’s that anyone has ever seen! If I put something new, food wise, down for them, they smell it turn their noses and look at me as if to say, What the heck do you want us to eat now! I feed them Purina One Smart Blend and they seem to like this one!   121. I always feed my dogs the same brand of dog food, they say if you change their food too much it’s hard on their tummies.

    • That is actually a myth. Dogs are scavengers by nature. What actually makes them sick in the case of a food change is usually a switch after a long stretch of the same diet – just like in humans, their microbiome (healthy, normal gut bacteria) adjusts somewhat to try and get all it can from their food, and often the dog will have some nutrient deficiency (try and find a single food that would provide EVERYTHING a human would need to stay properly fed, it’s not easy to do). In these cases – and pretty much ONLY these cases, a dog with a varied diet is not as susceptible to this – unless a new food is slowly worked in, a sudden change can cause bacteria that were not as active to rapidly grow in population, and cause intestinal pain, diarrhea, etc. Otherwise, if a dog has an upset tummy it’s often a sign of other issues.

  124. I like dogs but have always been more of a cat person. They’re a bit easier (for me) to care for. When I had my last cat I found some treats that he loved. All I had to do was shake the bag and he came running and purring up a storm.
