Do you ever get that craving to do a weekend craft or home improvement project? To my husband’s dismay, I get those cravings, especially when I know the cold weather is coming. Projects that require us being outdoors to finish need to get done and in all honesty, we are getting to the time of year where the two of us spend the most time outdoors. We love fall and the beautiful autumn weather. It is the perfect time to go hiking and exploring for the two of us, especially when it starts getting under 55 degrees. With Reya being old enough to go on our hiking trips, we know there is going to be even more fun outdoors so if we want to get these projects done, we need to start now!
Lately, I have been going through Pinterest and my friends blogs looking for ideas. There are so many projects I want to start but I just don’t know where to begin. Luckily, they are great at giving me lots of inspiration (and keeping my husband busy). Below, I have included 45 of my favorite projects that can be completed in a weekend or less. Not only are they great beginner projects but are very cost effective, allowing you to have something that looks amazing without a large budget.
Do you have any projects that you are getting ready to start? Tell us below and share your own remodeling or home decorating projects!

Actually the only project that I have to finish right now is a baby blanket for my future great-grandson because the baby shower is creeping up a lot faster then I’d like. 🙂

There are some creative ideas in that list. I really liked the Family Wall Art: Scrabble Edition idea. There could be so many places and variations of it. If waterproofed they could be used outside like how some people have their last name. They could also be used in a child’s room – painted with bright colors.

Oh boy, you have a lot of great ideas!! Unfortunately, the only room I can do anything with is my bedroom, since I still live at home, and I just used up all my space in it!! But I will definitely be incorporating some of these when I have my own home in a few years!! I absolutely LOVE the barn door baby gate…perfect for pets as well!!

I love the ideas you have collected— Pinterest has sure made it easy to collect ideas with easy access to the world, in the how to do things, hasn’t it?! My favor really is anything garfening– but of course there are others that I can’t help pinning for the future such as the crafts as above. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂
