Do you love to dress up your dog for Halloween in a cute dog costume? It is a big deal in our household, and we love celebrating Halloween. My husband and I both like seeing all the children as they go out trick or treating, guessing at kids’ costumes before they even get to the door. Not only is it wonderful seeing the excitement of all the little children in the neighborhood, but our dogs as well. The girls especially love Halloween, with Ivi and Rylie both jumping for joy as soon as they see kids in costumes. To them, this is the time of year when everyone comes over to play, and they can give out free kisses (along with candy, of course).
While we have a handful of costumes for the girls, we are hoping to find something fun and unique for them this year. Since pet stores rarely sell costumes for big dogs, we have to order them online or make the perfect costume ourselves.
Over the years, we have collected some really cute costumes for dogs at PetSmart, but most were custom-made for the girls. Hoping to save a bit of money this year, I will make costumes for both Ivi and Rylie this year. While they are cute candy stripers, we hope for something new this Halloween. Of course, when it comes to finding cute Halloween costumes for dogs, the best bet is your local craft store for ideas or Pinterest!
