This might seem crazy but, do you have any special memories tied to food? One of my most favorite things to do, when I visited my husband at the University of Louisville, was go for ice cream. We were two poor college students and it was a big deal for us to go to the local Graeter’s ice cream shop to get scoops of ice cream or a shake. The ice cream was nothing like what I could find back home and honestly, I thought it was a little piece of heaven. Even though we loved the ice cream so much, it has been years since we have stepped foot in a Graeter’s since there isn’t one near our hometown. At least, this was true until I found out Kroger sold their ice cream in pints in the frozen section, which floored my husband and myself. To say the least, we knew we had to give their ice cream a try and see if it really was as amazing as we remembered!

Graeter’s Ice Cream: Overall
To my delight, Graeter’s ice cream is just as good as I remember – creamy and oh so delicious. To me, all natural ice cream has always tasted much better than the ‘frozen dairy desserts’ that usually pass for ice cream. Everything about their ice cream is perfection – from the wonderful, creamy texture to the perfect mix of natural flavors to leave your tongue begging for more. As well, the chocolate chunks in their ice cream are to die for ( I could eat a whole bar of this chocolate if someone let me). My husband is pesonally a fan of their black cherry chocolate chip, while I am truly in love with the Mocha Chocolate Chip ice cream. I am so excited that I now have a way to enjoy this delicious ice cream in my own home. Based on our own experience, I am delighted to give Graeter’s Ice Cream an A+ rating!

I’ve never tried Graeter’s…..not sure if I can find it local, but we do trips across the border ofter as we live close to it, so I will most definitely look for this brand/flavor during our next trip!
I’ve never seen thsi brand before. I will have to keep an eye out for it at my local stores. Here we have edys but other places call it dyers but I don’t know why.

I have got to see if they have this near where I live. Those flavors sound so delicious. I am always looking for anything with black cherry, & the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip seems very new & different!
There’s no places close around my area that sells this ice cream. Maybe when I go and pick up my organics from Wegmans I’ll pick some up… Its been a while since I ate a quart of ice cream myself… Don’t judge me, I’m pregnant!
I’m having a hard time finding peach Ice Cream and theirs looks so good. I might have to make the 20 mile trek to Whole Foods and pick some up.
