How many of you like to vacuum? For nearly a decade, we have been using the Dyson DC14 Animal in our home. Sure, its old, but our Dyson has kept various houses and apartments clean over the years. Really, it has been traveling just as much as us and still cleans just as well as it did when we bought it in 2006. While I adore our vacuum, I hate lugging it up and down stairs since it is a bit on the heavy side, or dragging out various attachments if I’m trying to deal with various, small everyday messes.In all honesty, stairs are some of the worst in my eyes and with us having a second story and basement in our house, I had to find a new option since our only stand alone vacuum that could handle the stairs broke. Luckily, right as our vacuum died, I was introduced to what seemed like the perfect vacuum for our household – the Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum. After reading on the Dyson website that it was lightweight and designed to handle allergens and pet hair, I knew I had to try it for myself!
Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum: What is It?

Dyson’s new cordless line V6 line features their new Dyson digital V6 motor, which products the most powerful suction of any cordless vacuum currently on the market.
What also makes this vacuum so unique is that it has 2 cleaner heads in one machine. With the Dyson Fluffy, this soft roller cleaner head was engineered to suck up both large dirt and fine dust particles simultaneously on hard floors, allowing the vacuum to powerfully clean without scratching floors. The second head is just as cool however, since this head features a direct-drive motor that creates 75% more brush bar power than the DC59 Animal, allowing it to better agitate carpet pile and tackle ground in spills and stains on your carpet. The most impressive part of the Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum , however, is their 2 Tier Radical Cyclone Technology. These little cyclone heads in the vacuum fling dust out of the air into the bin itself, where it is separating out even the most microscopic particles to help those with allergies. Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum: Overall
In all honesty, I was blown away by the Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum. I have tried some cordless vacuums in the past that weren’t just heavy, but almost a hassle to use since they typically don’t work as well as a standard upright vacuum, but vacuuming stairs with an upright vacuum is an absolute beast. The V6 Absolute truly changed our entire opinion of vacuuming stairs and many small projects throughout our house. It was very quickly picking up dog hair, dust, and just about anything that was on our hardwood floors or carpet. I was truly amazed at just how much this cordless vacuum has picked up, especially since it was very lightweight, easy to push, and easy to control. Oh, and it’s nice not having to fight with a cord while vacuuming, since this cordless vacuum can go for 30 – 45 minutes on a full charge. While I hate to admit it, vacuuming with the Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum is almost…well…fun!
What really shocked me is just how much this picks up compared to my old, trusty Dyson upright vacuum. The Dyson digital V6 motor I think is part of what makes this vacuum so amazing. It really does have the most powerful suction I have seen yet in a vacuum, which I think is amazing when you realize this is coming from a small, handheld vacuum. To me, the perfect vacuum should be able to pick up even the finest of dusts, clumps of dog or cat fur, vacuum wood floors without scratching them, and leave carpets clean and fresh without nasty allergens. In our household, the V6 Absolute has done all that and more. Based on my own experience and a few weeks of use by my family, I am happy to give the Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum an A+ rating and recommend it to anyone who lives in a house or apartment!

Dyson vacuums are awesome! I would love to own one someday. I have 2 cats and they shed all the time. Not to mention that I have a husband and those are just messy by nature. 🙂

Wow! I cannot believe how much crap is sucked up in that cup in the bottom picture! Lots of kids, two hairy dogs here. This looks like something I need.
I would love this, I lug my vacuum up and down steps and even try to hold it and vacuum the steps, such a pain. I have been wanting to try Dyson for a while now. Heard they are great!

I have 2 sets of stairs that I have to sweep, it’s such a pain with my current Dyson. This would be perfect! And so much faster!
I have a Dyson DC14 Animal vacuum. I really love it and it works great. This new smaller version seems like it would be great for smaller messes.
I would love to have a Dyson. My vacuum is horrible but can’t afford a new one, but if I could I would love this one. Its so light.
I have five Treeing Walker Coonhounds and three cats (all rescues), so we get a LOT of pet fur that needs to be vacuumed up. It’s not always easy to use a large vacuum cleaner – especially since it scares the animals. This sounds like it would be easy to use and if it works even half as well as other Dyson products, would work great, too.

These vacuums are amazing and the technology has advanced so much over the years but, growing up and not that many years ago vacuums were not $1000 and that’s the only problem I have with them.
I’ve been wanting one of these for a long time. The one sweeper I have that works well is heavy and scratches my wood flooring.The other is lighter, but just moves the mess around. This sounds perfect.
Dyson makes great stuff. I have a dyson that is bigger than this one but i wouldn’t mind more portability.
I would love to have one. Especially to clean cat hair off the furniture. My sweeper is just to heavy for small messes.

My cousin has a Dyson vacuum. It isnt this model but my point is, she has 2 cats, 2 dogs and 2 young boys who have allergies. She and her wife work full time and there is not a speck of dust or hair anywhere in there home. I have 1 dog, 1 cat and one boy and no matter how much I vacuum i could still build another cat and dog with all the hair. I think I need a Dyson vacuum!!!

I love that the Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless vacuum has such great suction power to get up fine dirt as well as pet hair and that it is lightweight and cordless too! Sounds like my dream vacuum!
I currently have a Hoover and it doesn’t pick up well on carpets, this sounds much better. Has anyone tried it on cat litter?

I’ve always wondered if Dysons were as good as they sounded in the commercials. I really liked the fluffy head since a lot of my floors are ceramic tile. I think I’m going to need to start saving to get one of these.

I’ve never had a Dyson, but they get such super reviews everywhere! Plus a CORDLESS one! That’s what I really need! This apartment does not have outlets conveniently placed at all — we’re always tripping over extention cords! Oh, cordless, somebody PLEASE get me that for Mother’s Day!!
I really didn’t know they made cordless vacuums that would work in the house. Only in the car. That is nice. Now if they can only make one that is quiet. This is certainly worth a look! I’m glad it would get up cat hair too.
