Do you try cooking traditional meals for St. Patrick’s Day? As someone with Irish heritage, I look forward to celebrating this fun holiday. For me, end of February and March is the time for putting throwing a roast in the slow cooker. That was usually how much family celebrated St. Patrick’s day.
For me, this is the time of year for awesome comfort foods and relaxing with family. With this fun holiday right around the corner I think it’s a great time to relax and enjoy some awesome and delicious St. Patrick’s Day inspired food with the entire family. I can only eat corned beef if it’s very lean. My favorite is a Rueben sandwich. We have those maybe once or twice a year.

I don’t have any original St. Paddy’s recipes. The traditional Corn Beef and Cabbage is what I will be making. I only make it once a year on St. Paddy’s Day so it has become special and something everyone looks forward too.

hi, thanks for the recipes, especially ‘slow cooker corned beef’. the last time i made one in my slow cooker, it pretty much came out like a hunk of rubber. i plan on fixing that…lol.
Hi Margaret, more than likely the heat was too high or there wasn’t enough fat on the corned beef itself. While it may make the water look nasty, that is one of the trick to get it nice and juicy.
